IT’S NOT MAGIC, IT’S SCIENCE.
Founder Caleb Kerr has been creating compelling and creative photography for global brands (Nike, Toyota, SRAM, Under Armour, YETI) for over a decade. Moondust Labs is the vessel for his creative endeavors in the studio.
Caleb’s clients are those who have created thoughtfully designed products that demands a no-holds-barred creative and exacting approach. He is eqully comfortable crafting projects for global brands as he is working with specialty brands and smaller teams.
There have been few things as daring and inspiring as humankind setting foot on the moon. “Moondust” is a reminder to take on big challenges in pursuit of big rewards.
“Moondust” is also a term used locally in Bend, OR for the ultra fine volcanic dust that accumulates on the trails and is a nod to our home.
Moondust “Labs” because creativity is an action not a result. "Labs" because this is a place to push for new and novel ideas, not rehash what's been proven before. Hands-on testing and experimenting is part of what carries an idea from our heads into reality. It’s not magic, it’s science.

Meet the Founder, Caleb Kerr
Caleb grew up in eastern Pennsylvania, started and built his career in Austin, Texas before moving to Bend, Oregon in 2023 when he opened this studio. He loves learning about why things are designed and made the way that they are, and using that knowledge to inform his creative process.
He believes that his creative work is inextricably attached to his own curiosities and interests. When off the clock, he loves riding gravel bikes and building things with his hands.
