Why “Moondust”?

Moondust represents exploration, new places, and otherworldly experiences. The lunar dust on the moon—moondust—was described as being fine like powder and sharp like glass. This dichotomy of being both fine and luxurious, and also sharp and cutting is a wonderful analogy for Caleb’s work.

“Moondust” is also the colloquial name for the very fine, volcanic dust that is commonly found in Bend. It is both a nod to the local landscape, as well as the landscapes of the our imaginations.
