The Sawmill name pays tribute to the history of our place: Bend, Oregon. The town’s early economy was built around the Brooks-Scanlon and Shevlin-Hixon sawmills on the banks of the Deschutes River, this name honors the sweat that got us here.

At our working photo studio there is a lot of prop / set building (as seen in the product photos), and this hat was designed to be a companion through those projects. “Slow is smooth and smooth is fast” on the inside is a reminder to act with thought and precision, whether working with a camera, a pencil, or a chainsaw.
